In just about six weeks away from the start of the Great New York State Fair! Ride the rides, have several bites to eat and take in a concert or two. The 2023 season will kick off on Wednesday August 23rd and wrap up on Monday September 1st, Labor Day.
Many of the free concerts at the New York State Fair in Syracuse have been announced and are listed below, including the latest addition. Keep checking back for updates so you don't miss a thing. Check the dates and details below.
70's Rock radio staple Foghat is now scheduled to perform at the New York State Fair on Monday September 4th at 4pm on the Chevy Court Stage. You are certain to hear classics such as "Slow Ride", "Fool for the City" and "I Just Wanna Make Love To You" along with newer tunes.
Another cool thing about Foghat is that they resonate with audiences of all ages, from the teenagers who just learned ‘Slow Ride’ playing Guitar Hero III, to the members of the ‘Dazed & Confused’ generation, and of course, the ‘Baby Boomers’ who may have purchased Foghat’s first vinyl. We’re looking forward to boogieing along to their brand of blues and rock and roll! - Sean Hennessey, Interim Fair Director
