Christmas Movie to Be Filmed In This Upstate New York Town, Here’s How You Can Be Part Of It

What better place to film a Christmas movie than New York State? A Christmas Spectacular was filmed in Troy, Last Vermont Christmas was filmed in Rhinebeck and One December Night was filmed in Goshen. NY to name a few.

Filming of the latest "Hallmark-style" Christmas movie in the Empire State is set to get underway shortly and you could be part of it. Here's what they are looking for.

From December 4th through December 21st, according to a post on the We Love Lake Placid NY group page on Facebook, the Gemelli Films family-friendly entertainment production company will be set up in Lake Placid to film their latest movie. The company is run by Candice T. Cain, yes Candy Cain.

If you are looking for work Cain is seeking the help of makeup artists, hair stylists, 1st Assistant Director, Key Grip, Grip, set designerss, Production Assistants, catering and background actors but that's not all.

Here are some of the locations Gemellie Films is looking in the Lake Placid area:

• A house where the crew can stay AND film
• A diner/restaurant
• A lodge
• A cozy restaurant
• A school
• A skating rink
• A sledding hill with night sledding
• A church

Candy Cain is also in search of an office to rent for a month and 2 homes where the team can live during the production.
