Capital Region Man Arrested, Allegedly Had 44 Pounds of Cannabis In Car

On Wednesday July 12, 2023, according to New York State Police, Troopers stopped an individual on Interstate 787 in Albany for vehicle and traffic violation. During the stop officers discovered 44 pounds of illegally possessed cannabis and a large amount of cash.
There are 16 ounces in one pound so this individual had 704 ounces of cannabis. This puts him just 701 ounces over the legal limit. Troopers arrested 29-year-old Olandise L. Warren of Albany, NY.
Mr. Warren did not have a driver's license at the time of the stop. Warren has been charged with Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the first degree. He was arraigned at the Albany City Court and released under the supervision of the Albany County Probation Department.
