Former QB Slams NFL Executive for Calling Buffalo Bills’ Allen ‘Overrated’
We're still one week away from players reporting for NFL training camp, and roughly six weeks away from the 2024 regular season getting underway.
NFL fans are reaching the peak of their offseason boredom, and because of this, we're all a bit prone to overreacting when our favorite team, or favorite player, gets discussed in the media.
Tuesday morning, fans of the Buffalo Bills were given their chance to overreact, as the talent of their superstar quarterback, Josh Allen, was debated on ESPN's Get Up. The show shared a less-than-flattering quote about Allen from an anonymous NFL executive, one which referred to Allen as one of the most overrated players in the NFL.
That's when the newest hero of Bills Mafia, former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky, came to Allen's rescue:
There are countless ways to describe Josh Allen, but "overrated" is not one of the descriptors that comes to mind. He's recorded at least 4,200 passing yards in each of the last four seasons, and has accumulated at least 40 total touchdowns (passing and rushing) in that same span.

Turnovers have certainly plagued Allen during his career, and his era of Bills' football has been certainly filled with playoff heartbreak. That said, it's hard to argue against Allen being one of the most talented, dynamic quarterbacks in the league, and I appreciate Dan Orlovsky for standing up for him on ESPN's airwaves.
