Buffalo Bills Disrespected Again by ESPN Show?

We're three days away from the Buffalo Bills' second preseason game of 2023.

They will travel to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers on Saturday night. Kickoff will be at 6:30 pm.

We still don't yet know if Josh Allen or Stefon Diggs will play. Neither did in the preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts this past weekend. Head coach Sean McDermott should give us an update on that by Thursday.

The Bills have a loaded roster once again but they are not being picked by nearly as many national media members to make it to the Super Bowl this year. That's likely due to that blowout loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Divisional round in January.

The Miami Dolphins and New York Jets have gotten a lot of love lately, especially the Jets. That's mostly due to the team bringing in future Hall of Fame quarterback, Aaron Rodgers to be the missing piece.

Rodgers didn't have a great season in 2022, but Jets fans are hoping that was an aberration and he will be back to 2021 form, where he won league MVP.

The Jets are such a trendy pick to win the AFC East, that the entire crew of ESPN Get Up picked them to win the division. All four personalities say the Jets will beat out the Bills and Dolphins for the division crown.

What people are forgetting is the fact the Bills went through an absurd amount of aversity in 2022.

They went through two legendary snowstorms, that claimed lives in Western New York. It moved one game to Detroit and caused significant delays back home for Christmas in the blizzard.

Then the Damar Hamlin situation, which was an emotionally-draining and traumatic event for the team. That cost the Bills the fair chance at the one seed in the AFC.

Then you factor in the injuries: Von Miller, Micah Hyde and DaQuan Jones all were not playing in that Bengals playoff game, along with Josh Allen and Jordan Poyer both not at 100 percent.

Those aren't excuses as to why they lost, but context in what should be factored into the argument that the Bills window has closed, which it hasn't. They lost three regular season games by a combined 8 points in 2022...

We shall see how this season unfolds.
