Gloversville Police Help US Marshals Arrest Wanted Fugitive

Gloversville Police Department aided in arresting a wanted fugitive today!

Members of the Gloversville Police Department aided the United States Marshals Service today in arresting a wanted fugitive from Niagara County (Western NY).  Christopher Beard, wanted by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested at 37 West St. in Gloversville this morning.  Beard was wanted on 8 felony counts including burglary in the first degree.

I am so proud of the good work these police officers are doing in my hometown!  It’s not a secret the stress and worry that comes with the job of a police officer, and these guys work so hard to keep us safe every day!  This is great work!  Gloversville Mayor went to Facebook today to congratulate the officers:

Beard was taken into the custody of the United States Marshals Service and will be transported back to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
