Glass Roof Train To Run This Fall [PHOTO]
I know we are in the middle of summer, but my favorite season, by far, is the fall. That is one of the main reasons I love living here in the Northeast. Now there is a beautiful and unique way to see all that the season has to offer. According to simplemost.com, Amtrak is offering a really cool fall trip to experience all of the beauty that fall has to offer in the Northeast. It's the Amtrak "Great Dome" car that has a glass dome ceiling so you can see all of the beautiful colors of fall in a 180 degree view.
It is a 1950s train that starts right here at the Albany-Rensselaer train station and travels the Adirondack route. It goes across the Canadian border to Montreal. It is a beautiful ten hour ride offering incredible views from the windows along side of the train car and the ceiling.
This is such a unique ride so it will sell out quickly. Tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis. You should buy your train ticket soon. The special train ride goes from September 27th through November 2nd.
