We all have excuses to why we can't workout. The main reasons usually have something to do with time and convenience. Well if you work for the state or work near the Empire State Plaza, this could be perfect for you. Starting July 11th, Blue Cross of Northeastern New York is providing free fitness classes outside on The Empire State Plaza 5pm to 6pm. Even if you don't work for the state, this program is open to all ages, all fitness levels and to everyone in and around the plaza that would like to participate.

The classes run every Tuesday and Thursday July 11th through August 31st.  Classes will be held on the grass between Agency buildings 2 and 3 on the plaza. (The rain date location will be held at the Meetings Rooms at the Empire State Plaza)The Tuesday class is a low impact workout focused on muscles and core along with Yoga and Pilates mixed in. The Thursday class will be more aerobic and more of a cardio workout.

Registration is not required but it is encouraged. You must fill out a release form before you workout.  Get more information on what to bring and what to expect from each class here.
