Certain bottles of Excedrin and Bufferin are being recalled.  Pharmaceutical company Novartis voluntarily recalled the bottles due to mislabeled and broken pills.  Novartis says “stray” pills from other Novartis products were put in the wrong package.

The recall includes Excedrin and NoDoz products with expiration dates of December 20th, 2014 or earlier.  Bufferin and Gas-X Prevention products with a December 20th, 2013 expiration date or earlier, are also being recalled.

According to Novartis, the recall and processing upgrades is estimated to cost the company $120 million.  The number of pills affected by the recall has not been released yet, but more information is expected to be announced some time today.  For a list of products involved in the recall, you can go to Novartis' website.
