Emmylou Joins Hall Of Fame, Redneck Woman Debuts-Today In Country History

2008- Emmylou Harris and Ernest "Pop" Stoneman are officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In a seperate ceremony, they will join The Statler Brothers and Tom T. Hall as the 2008 inductees.
2004- Epic Records releases Gretchen Wilson's debut single 'Redneck Woman.' Gretchen is a part of a group of artists known as "The Muzik Mafia," headed by Big and Rich.
2004- Interscope Records releases Loretta Lynn's 'Van Lear Rose' album, produced by White Stripes rocker Jack White. The collections earns Loretta Grammy gold and a new generation of fans discover her music.
2001- Trisha Yearwood's former hometown of Monticello, Georgia, renames Highway 83 the Trisha Yearwood Parkway.
