Chrissy and I had the chance to talk to Chris Thompson from Eli Young Band, coming to CountryFest on Saturday. I got to ask him to use his imagination a bit and talk Backstreet Boys.

It may seem strange to talk to a country group about a 1990s-2000s boy band like the Backstreet Boys. Also, another thing that makes it strange is that Eli Young Band are a very talented group of guys who not only perform all of their music with instruments live, but write their music as well. Though, still good for it's time, you may remember that Backstreet Boys didn't even come close to doing that.

Chrissy and I had a chance to talk to Chris from Eli Young Band and I was curious to know if all bands fit into the "boy band mold." You probably remember back to the times to Backstreet Boys and N'SYNC, that every boy band had their token character. You had the bad boy, the sensitive one, the serious adult one, the heartthrob, etc, so I asked Chris if the guys in Eli Young Band had the same thing. I was not disappointed.

Countryfest tickets are still on sale now, with lawn seats starting at $28 and pavillion seats starting at $35. The parking lot opens at 1:00pm, the doors open at 3:00pm, and show starts at 4:00pm!
