Police Want Man Who Took Woman's Wedding Band

Remember the old saying, "Finders keepers, losers weepers"? Well, that doesn't apply here, sorry bud.

Police in East Greenbush are looking for a man who they say scooped up a lost wedding band in a parking lot recently, and didn't make an attempt to return it to its rightful owner.

Surveillance cameras show a man dressed in an army green jacket, camouflage pants, hat, and a mask, bending over to pick something up in the area where Fleming says she lost the ring.  The man carries on, gets into a black Ford Edge, and drives away

How Did She Lose the Ring?

According to a report by Newschannel 13, Debbie Fleming lost her wedding band in the parking lot where she works, after removing it to clean her hands with hand sanitizer.

When she got up to get out of the car, Fleming told the news station that it must have fallen off of her lap, and onto the ground.

No Questions Asked

But Fleming told the news station she won't press charges, that she just wants her wedding ring back, "No questions asked."

The band is actually three rings in one - a wedding band, an engagement ring, and an anniversary band that had been soldered together.

According to News Channel 13, whenever someone else's property is found in New York state, "especially a high-value item like a wedding ring, you must make the effort to return it."

The 9 Best Fried Chicken Sandwiches in the Capital Region, Ranked!

Ever since Chic-Fil-A added two more restaurants in the Capital Region, there's been a lot of "clucking" in our area about who has the "best-tasting" chicken sandwich.

We decided to post the question on our various social media platforms, and the results were pretty interesting.

For the purpose of our survey, we didn't care if it was made at a local mom-and-pop style pub, tavern, or restaurant or if it was made by a multi-billion dollar national chain.

If Capital Region residents knew of a place that builds a delicious, golden-fried chicken sandwich, we wanted to hear about it.
