DOT Workers Make Grisly Find by Bridge Near Albany New York

State Police in New York have confirmed that Department of Transportation workers found a deceased body near the Patroon Island Bridge in Rensselaer just after 8 am on Tuesday.
New York State Employees with the Department of Transportation reported finding the body on I-90, just east of the bridge, according to the report. Police have yet to identify the victim and haven't said if it was a male or female.
No Threat to the Public
According to the report from News 10, the right lane of I-90 before Exit 7 remains closed while law enforcement is on the scene. State police stated that there is currently no threat to the public.
The Patroon Island Bridge is a multi-span deck truss bridge that spans the Hudson River between Albany and Rensselaer, New York. It is a significant crossing, carrying Interstate 90 east-west between Albany and Rensselaer Counties.
