2002- Forty couples are married in a mass Valentine's Day ceremony in Newport News, Virginia. Steve Holy is on hand to sing "Good Morning Beautiful" for the couples' first dance.

2001- Cranes hoist Elvis Presley's gold Cadillac and Webb Pierce's Silver Dollar Pontiac onto the third floor of the new Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum before the last wall is sealed.

1985- Randy Travis signs a recording contract with Warner Bros., two weeks after recording "On The Other Hand."  Randy's debut song is considered a flop, so they release "1982."  After "1982" climbs the charts, Warner Bros. re-releases "On The Other Hand" and the song goes to Number One the second time around.

1967- Eddy Arnold attends a special White House dinner at the request of the President's daughter, Lynda Bird Johnson.  There's a story that Eddy Arnold gets stuck in an elevator and barely makes it in time.
