2007- The Dixie Chicks gather up five trophies in the 49th annual Grammy Awards. "Not Ready To Make Nice" earns Record and Song of the Year out of all formats, plus Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group. The CD "Taking The Long Way" claims Album of the Year out of all formats and Best Country Album.
2006- Sugarland performs their first official concert as a duo at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, just weeks after the departure of Kristen Hall. Kristen played guitar for the trio and co-wrote their first hits "Baby Girl" and "Something More."

Gene Vincent, 1935. His rock & roll record "Be-Bop-A-Lula," one of the first singles recorded at the Bradley Recording Studio in Nashville, also reaches the top 5 on the country music charts in 1956.
