Nivaldo Oliveira the man who abducted his nine year old son Gustavo at a home in Clifton Park early Friday morning has been arrested.

Albany police found Nivaldo after receiving a tip from residents in the area of Ontario Street on Friday night just after 9pm. His son Gustavo was found safe.

 

State police said Saturday morning that Oliveira, 41,  faces 11 charges:

Kidnapping 2nd degree- B felony
Burglary 1st degree- B felony
Burglary 2nd degree -C felony
Criminal Contempt 1st degree- E felony
Criminal Mischief 3rd- E felony
Criminal Mischief 4th degree- Damage Property- A misdemeanor
Criminal Mischief 4th degree- Prevent Emergency Call- A misdemeanor
Menacing 2nd degree- A misdemeanor
Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree- A misdemeanor
Two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child- A misdemeanor
Petit Larceny- A misdemeanor

According to police, Oliveira was arraigned in the town of  Halfmoon Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $210,000 cash, $420,000 secured bond or $630,000 unsecured bond.
