Chemical Caused Displacement Of People In Local Neighborhood
A chemical that was being used by a construction company seeped into some Rensselaer homes, forcing the residents to leave their homes.
On Thursday, the construction company was working on a sewer project on Washington Avenue. That’s when the complaints from the neighbors started, about an odor in their homes.
The city is putting those people up in a hotel. According to the story from News 10 ABC, Rensselaer Mayor Dan Dwyer said that engineers have been trying to find out why the chemical reached those homes.
