Summertime is the when we can finally get outside here in the Capital Region and enjoy the nice weather!

I have my mom here for the next couple of days and when I was looking for something to do with her, I came across these outdoor movie nights that are going on in Albany in West Capitol Park in August. (Won't help me now since they start in August, but at least I can mark them on my calendar!) The really great thing is, they are all movies your whole family can enjoy! The schedule is:

Aug. 5: 8 p.m. "Mary Poppins"

Aug. 19: 8 p.m. "Monsters University"

Aug. 26: 8 p.m. "Maltese Falcon."

There is also another series going on a the Egg called "The Made in the Shade of the Egg"  which happens at noon on Wednesdays from now until Aug. 26. Here is the list:

July 22: Front Country: contemporary bluegrass

July 29: Brass & Blues: acoustic blues & traditional jazz

Aug. 12: Ajkun Ballet Theatre: contemporary dance

Aug. 19: The Revelers: Cajun, zydeco & swamp pop

Aug. 26: Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company: modern movement
