I've been circulating the video of a flash mob from Canada doing the Hallelujah Chorus among my friends because I'm just amazed at people coming together and working in unity to do something amazing. Well, we finally have our own backyard version!
I probably sound like a broken record (or CD), but once again, the satisfaction that comes from visiting an elementary school in the Capital Region can't actually be explained in a blog or on the air for that matter. It's one of those "you had to be there" moments.
Christmas tree farms and stands across the country are already reporting that more Christmas trees are selling so far this holiday season than last year.
So my boss and WGNA afternoon personality Jake Thomas, sent us a text message right after I played this bit, "Ostentatious Christmas", on the air this morning. He has now renamed me Rhymin' Grinchie for my criticism of neighbors who go overboard with their holiday decorations.
I must admit I wasn't really feeling Christmas. Which is sad because it is my favorite holiday...(barely beating out Columbus Day I mean when else can you celebrate a guy that if GPS was around wouldn't be important)
A Listener asked me the other day to re-tell the story about how "Pennies From Heaven" got started. I cant believe how long ago it was, but it all got started with a seven year old boy named Joshua Farrell and a little brown dog.
