
Capital Region City Named Fastest Growing In US For Jobs & New Talent

According to the job experts at LinkedIn, one Capital Region city is really headed in a positive direction when it comes to career opportunities.
Albany Named A LinkedIn City On The Rise
LinkedIn has revealed its inaugural list of Cities on the Rise, where it has identified "...25 emerging metro areas where hiring is accelerating, job postings are surging and talent migration is reshaping local economies." These are basically the best mid-sized cities nationwide for booming job markets and growing professional talent pools.
Albany comes in a #4 on this list, and LinkedIn says it's on the rise due to "...University at Albany’s more than $1 billion economic impact on the local economy is helping fuel the city’s momentum as a growing hub for high tech jobs and semiconductor research." Sectors including "professional services, healthcare, (and) manufacturing" are among the industries hiring the most.
Albany has always been a healthcare and tech hotspot when it comes to employment opportunities, field by high-level institutions like RPI and UAlbany introducing highly talented individuals into the employment pool. LinkedIn says the bustling job market is in turn driving a "migration surge" to the area.
