Capital Region Gem Named New York’s Best Romantic Getaway
Looking for a great place to spend Valentine's Day or a romantic weekend? The perfect spot to bring your special someone is right in your backyard!
When it comes to romance, couples are always trying to find that perfect spot that just inspires love. Sometimes choosing that perfect restaurant or getaway can be a little nerve-wracking. Or maybe like me if you have kids, that romantic rendezvous can be even more complicated to plan when you have kids!
Well luckily for us in the Capital Region, one of New York's most romantic destinations is right in our backyard! Why overthink it when that special spot is a short drive away? And like me, if you have kids, being close and convenient is key when babysitters are involved!
This perfect romantic destination has great restaurants and bars, some really nice hotels, great entertainment, and simply has a quaint and cozy atmosphere that is perfect for your next date or weekend getaway.
Saratoga Springs Named One Of NY's Best Romantic Getaways
Sometimes the best option for what you are planning is right under your nose! And if you are looking for romance look no further than Saratoga Springs. Big 7 Travel has named the city one of the 7 best romantic getaways in the Empire State because it is a "... great getaway for health-oriented love birds...(where)...you can enjoy candlelight dinners in fine-dining restaurants, taste new wines, and sip craft beverages with your significant other in wineries and breweries."
Some of my favorite romantic spots in Saratoga include 15 Church for a great meal, a drink or 2 at The Wine Bar, and well any waterfront spot on Saratoga Lake! And hey, if you have kids that short drive will save you a few bucks when it comes to childcare!
