Ten Places In Capital Region Where Gas Is Under $3

Everything seems to be more expensive right now, so when we can, we are all trying to save. Since we all need gas to get to work, toting the kids around, and more, here are the top ten places to fill up in the Capital Region where gas is under three dollars a gallon.

Here are the top ten places in the Capital Region to get gas for under three dollars. You may notice a pattern. It seems Ballston Spa and Schenectady have the most places with the cheapest gas.

GasBuddy.com reports all of the gas prices in the Capital Region, and I noticed that the prices fluctuate depending on where you are. For instance, if you are on one part of Central Ave in Colonie, the price of gas is three dollars and twenty-nine cents. However, if you travel further up Central Avenue, it's $3.15 per gallon.

Here's what makes me the maddest, though. If I get gas at a Sunoco on Route 9 in Halfmoon near Grooms Road, it's three dollars and twenty-five cents per gallon, but directly across the street at the Valero, it's three dollars and five cents. Can anyone explain this? How is it twenty cents cheaper across the street?
