Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is coming up so our minds are heading toward the holiday season. Plan ahead because the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is coming back through the Capital Region.

The Canadian Pacific Trains begin in Montreal, Canada and travel through the United States and Canada to kick off the Christmas season. It's a really great even if you've never gone before. It's completely free but Canadian Pacific does encourage people to bring canned goods or donate money to help feed people in their community. At each stop, a local food bank will be represented. In popular demand, according to Saratoga.com, are formula, canned meats, and spaghetti sauce.

I've gone to this event before and it's a lot of fun. Be sure to show up a little early to get a good spot, it's a great family event. The train stops, the train sides open up to a band playing Christmas music. There are Christmas lights inside and Santa shows up to dance along.
