Police Think this Biker is Linked to an Upstate Homicide.  Can You ID Him?

The pictures shown by the New York State Police are a bit grainy, but there may be someone out there with some key information about the person they are looking for.

In a Facebook post on Monday, members of the NYSP asked for the public's help in identifying an individual on a bike, captured by surveillance cameras on two separate occasions around the time of a reported homicide in Upstate, NY.

According to the NYSP, images of the individual were captured on "surveillance cameras regarding the Gouverneur homicide incident that occurred on February 11, 2023, in the town of Gouverneur."  Gouverneur is about 3 hours and 20 minutes northwest of Albany.

According to sources, members of the New York State Police Forensic Identification Unit have been searching riverbanks in Gouverneur hoping to find evidence that can be tied to the death of 72-year-old Ronald Durham.

Police say that Durham was found dead in East Side Cemetery, and investigators believe he died of a sharp force injury to the neck.  But who are they looking for?

Last week, a New York news station reported that police were currently holding 22-year-old Frederick Wing of Gouverneur on second-degree murder charges as the investigation continues.

But on Monday, they asked for the public's help in ID'ing the man on the bike.

State police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to please contact the department at 315-379-0012.
