It has become popular in bigger cities like Buffalo and New York City, and soon you will be able to rent a bike right here.

Maybe this time of year it does not sound like a great idea. But being able to rent a bike to get around the city sounds great for the warmer months, and it looks like it will happen in several area cities come 2017.

According to Albany.com, a bike sharing program is in the works for Albany, Schenectady, Troy and Saratoga. The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) will operate the program.

So now we have bike sharing on the way, now we just need to get Uber up here! Maybe this is the next best thing. If you are not into taking a cab somewhere, you could always rent a bike and get a little exercise. Although you probably won't be renting a bike for those late night rides home!
