The Syracuse Orange have been one of the most inconsistent college basketball teams in the country all season.  They currently sit at 15-12 overall and have a 9-7 ACC record.  Yesterday they scraped away a win over Georgia Tech in a game they probably should have lost.  Here is my quick take from the Times Union on this:

It is a rare night when the Syracuse men’s basketball team only shoots 33 percent from the floor and still wins the game, but that’s what happened on Monday. The Orange struggled from the perimeter but beat Georgia Tech in overtime. SU defended and rebounded at a high level, but most importantly they only turned it over four times. However, if Syracuse is going to win at Notre Dame on Wednesday and have any shot at beating Duke on Saturday at the Carrier Dome, they will need to drain plenty of three point shots. Here is to hoping the Dome is rocking on Saturday at 6pm, it’s about time more fans start showing up.

Michael Johnson Jr. and I discussed Cuse's performance yesterday and gave a quick preview on their remaining ACC regular season schedule.  Below is our full conversation on this.

Syracuse has to get some wins down the stretch here.  They finish at Notre Dame, home against Duke, at North Carolina, and home against Miami.  In each of these four games, Cuse will presumably be the underdog.  A split would be ideal because Syracuse has a lot of work to do to be able to strengthen their resume and get into the NCAA Tournament this year.  I still believe that they will get in as a bubble team.syracuse bask
