Even though the snow spared the Capital Region in this most recent storm, the Albany area is still feeling the effects.

Amtrak has suspended all service to western parts of the state through Wednesday, according to the Times Union. Affected trains include those traveling to Niagara Falls, Toronto and Chicago.

While no estimated time was given for when the trains would begin operating again, the Times Union reported that passengers should expect heavy delays on these routes through January. Service was also canceled traveling west of Syracuse, according to the report.
