The summer of bummers continues as another great, local event gets cancelled.

Say it ain't so! Another annual event that so many look forward to in the Capital Region and out of state has been cancelled.

According to an WNYT story, this year's Americade Motorcycle Rally in Lake George has been cancelled. Originally scheduled for June it has already been postponed to July 21 - 25. WNYT says organizers feel the event would be "impossible" to pull off with the current quarantine restrictions for many travelling to New York, as well as the spike many states are experiencing.

Unfortunately, it looks like most of us will have pretty empty social calendars this summer when it comes to checking out big events. So many concerts, fairs and anything where there is a mass gathering has fallen victim to the pandemic. Summer will certainly be what you make of it this year, but it is still a summer bummer we won't have so many of our favorite events to attend over the next few months.
