The Empire State Plaza tree has already been cut down, and the East Capitol Park tree will come down Thursday.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! And this year's Albany Christmas trees have been selected.

According to a News 10 report, the tree for the Empire State Plaza has already been cut down at it's Theresa Street home in Latham. The East Capitol Park tree will be cut down this Thursday.

Last year the Empire State Plaza tree also came from Latham. If you recall, there was a great story about Christmas spirit behind that tree as it was donated by Michael Scott in honor of his late wife Florence who adored Christmas.

This year's tree lighting celebration will take place Sunday, December 2 from 2 to 6pm.
