There are people who need our help downstate and we want to our best to reach out a hand to those in need - that's why we're doing an S.O.S Day - Show Our Support. Donate Blood to the Red Cross in Albany
The Red Cross is hosting local blood drives. Search for the location nearest to where you live.
You can also donate via mail or telephone if you aren't comfortable donating online, or you prefer to not text. Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767), or print a donation form that can be mailed to the Red Cross:

If mail in a donation, make sure it's a check and also make sure to indicated in the memo field where you'd prefer to have the donation directed. For example "Sandy Disaster Relief".
The Red Cross also has ideas on how you can fundraise to donate to the organization including donating a portion of your sales, staring a workplace matching programing, and some other ideas and guidelines.
Things are still bad where Sandy hit - many are without power and many are in need. Take a look at the gallery below so you can see for yourself just how bad it is there. This is serious - they need our help. Please do what you can.
