Albany Area Cooling Stations Set Up in Anticipation of Heat Wave

It's July and with that comes our annual heat wave. Check out our brand new weather page for the latest information and updates but also here are some cooling stations that have been set up in our area to help keep you cool.

Albany Cooling Stations

Giffen Elementary School, 274 South Pearl Street

North Albany Academy, 570 North Pearl Street

Sheridan Preparatory Academy, 400 Sheridan Ave.

Schuyler Academy, 676 Clinton Ave.

Pine Hills Library, 517 Western Ave.

Delaware Avenue Library, 331 Delaware Ave.

New Scotland Library, 455 New Scotland Ave.

Washington Avenue Library, 161 Washington Ave.

Arbor Hill/West Hill Library, 148 Henry Johnson Blvd.

These cooling stations will be open from 11am to 7pm.

Troy Cooling Stations

Canal Ave, between Second and Third Streets

Kids Park, Ingalls and Seventh Avenue

Spray Pads will be located at Martin Luther King at 1 Eddy’s Lane Taylor Apartments at 125 River St. Margaret W. Phelan Apartments at Thompson and Hopkins streets Arnold Fallon Apartments at Glen Avenue and President Street Griswold Heights at Madison and Spring avenues and Corliss Park located off of Northern Drive.

Knickerbacker Park and South Troy Pools will be open

The cooling stations will be open from 10am to 8pm
