4 Arrested After Clifton Park Stealing Spree
Two adults and two juveniles from the Capital Region were arrested recently after State Police allege that all four were involved in a stealing spree at a Target and Kohl's in Clifton Park.
According to the New York State Police, they arrested Layannah M. Morales, 20, of Albany, and Ketia J. Louis, 43, of Albany.
State Police allege that the adults and minors worked together to rob a Target and a Kohl's Store back on February 26th.
What Happened?
The NYSP says that on February 26, 2025, at about 6:26 p.m., Troopers responded to the Target in Clifton Park, NY, for the reports of a larceny in progress.
The suspects fled in a vehicle, but Troopers located the car a short time later in the Kohl's parking lot. State Police say that Louis and the two juveniles were located in the vehicle with items that had been reportedly stolen.
Morales and Two Juveniles Worked Together
After an investigation, it was learned that Morales and the two juveniles (ages 15 and 16) entered Target and reportedly "worked together" to steal more than $400 worth of merchandise.
After that theft, State Police say they traveled to Kohl's, where Morales and the two juveniles reportedly worked together to steal more than $1,000 worth of merchandise.
All stolen items from both thefts were recovered from within the vehicle.
Louis and the two juveniles were arrested at the scene, and according to the NYSP, Morales was located walking nearby and was taken into custody.
All four were transported to SP Clifton Park for processing.
The 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were issued appearance tickets that could be returned to the Saratoga County Family Court later and then released to their guardians.
State Police say that Morales faces multiple charges, including Grand Larceny in the fourth, two counts of Conspiracy in the fifth, Conspiracy in the sixth, three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and petit larceny.
Louis faces Grand Larceny in the fourth, Conspiracy in the fifth, and Endangering Child Welfare.
