5 Country Risers Coming To The Capital Region You Don’t Wanna Miss
There is a wealth of Country music talent coming to the Capital Region in the months ahead, including some amazing new artists.
When it comes to your show headliners, you know the names, the songs, and who you want to see. But when it comes to the Nashville newbies making their way to Upstate New York, maybe you are not as familiar. We are here to help! Here are 5 Nashville newcomers you DO NOT want to miss when they come your way this year!
Avery Anna
I recently saw Avery perform in Nashville, and she is an absolutely amazing singer with heartfelt songs. Hearing her sing for the first time reminded me of first seeing a young Carrie Underwood getting started on American Idol. Her vocals are that stunning! You can catch Avery opening for Chase Rice at Empire Live in Albany on Thursday, April 14th.
Dalton Dover
Dalton Dover stopped by to see us at the GNA studios this winter and showed us live on the air why you do not want to miss his first official Capital Region concert, also with Chase Rice at Empire Live in Albany on April 13th. Dalton can flat-out sing and is a hell of a guy, with some super authentic songs. Check out his performance with us back in January below:
Kassi Ashton
We first introduced you to Kassi Ashton when she performed at our St. Jude charity concert at Frog Alley Brewing last summer. Kassi is a powerhouse singer and is an energetic force in concert. Kassi will be with Old Dominion at MVP Arena on Friday, April 14th. Make sure you are in your seats on time to catch her set!
Nate Smith
Nate Smith is probably the most well-known of this bunch, having just landed his first #1 song with 'Whiskey On You.' He has plenty of great songs just like it and is a lot of fun to see live. Nate will open for Thomas Rhett and Cole Swindell at MVP Arena in Albany Thursday, June 8th.
Corey Kent
Looking ahead to summer at SPAC, there are so many great artists you do not want to miss. One guy I am really looking forward to is Corey Kent when he opens for Jason Aldean Sunday, July 16th. Corey's single 'Wild As Her' is flying up the country charts, and is great rocking out or solo, just him and a guitar.
