2012 County Fair Guide for Albany NY Area

The Saratoga County Fair has free admission for anyone under 52 inches (when standing), and is also free to anyone with a military ID. General admission is $10.00 and an unlimited ride wristband is $20.00. The fair also has some great free goodies at the gate!

Daily tickets are $12.00 for an adult, and $10.00 for a senior (62+). Children 12 and under are free, as is parking - unless you have an RV for which they charge $5.00. Three day passes, five day passes, and other extended passes are available too. Wednesday, Aug 1st is Schoharie County Appreciation day and admission is only $6!

Kids under 36" are free! If you purchase your tickets online, they are $1.00 of the gate admission price of $15.00 BUT your admission price covers the cost of the rides. Also, Altamont features 'the miracle of birth' exhibit, among many others.

Washington County is the most agriculturally rich county in the Albany area and hosts one of the most agriculture focused fairs. General Admission is $10 and does not include rides. Kids under 14 are in free, and parking is free too. Wednesday of the fair is senior citizen day where they can get in on that day for $5.00

The Fonda Fair hasn't posted ticket or schedule information yet on their site, but when they do we'll pass along that information here!

Diamond Rio, Painted Pony Rodeo, and a Demolition Derby? Yep - it's all here and if you want to see it get your tickets for $10 (excluding Sunday which is $12) Free admission for 18 or under. Also if your'e a member of the military, you're in free. Parking is free too.

Perhaps saving the best for last could be said about the Schaghticoke Fair - a great way to close the book on yet another summer. For opening day it's only $5 to get in, and only $10 for Thursday & Friday. $12 for the other days of the fair. Children 13 and under are in for free, and so is parking. The tractor pull in Schaghticoke is our favorite.
