2 More Names Added to List of Animal Abusers in Albany County
Saratoga County, Animal Abuse
Another disturbing news story about horrible animal neglect, and this one comes from Saratoga County. Last week it was reported a 27-year-old Ballston Spa resident was arrested when police learned that she was starving and torturing three dogs on her property.
"My department takes all complaints involving animals with the utmost sincerity. I am grateful to know that these dogs are now receiving the care they deserve and pray for their complete recovery." Sheriff Zurlo, Saratoga County Sheriff's Dept.
Torturing and Starving 3 Dogs
According to a report from News 10 ABC, Alexis L. Hagadorn-Garmley was charged with the misdemeanor of "overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals, as well as failure to provide proper sustenance." The dogs were taken to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter where they are currently receiving medical care and some much-needed TLC.

Over a decade ago, the Albany County Animal Abuser Registry was created by an act of the Albany County Legislature known as Local Law K. The registry, hosted by the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, is a service to the public.
The following people seen on this list have been convicted of animal cruelty and while it's unclear exactly what they're guilty of, one thing is abundantly clear: They are not allowed to own, possess, reside, have custody of, or intentionally engage in any physical contact with any animal. Period.
