What are you going to be when you grow up? It is a timeless question that we love to ask kids. I often wonder if you really paid attention and tracked it , how many of those ids would actually grow up to be what they thought they would be.Sometimes I think that they are probably more accurate than we believe.

Yesterday, Saratoga native Patrick Pipino wrote a note to his daughter's school asking them to forgive her for being a little late. While we have all written an excuse note or two for our kids Patrick's was a little different and perhaps a bit more honest.

Like most Facebook trends I have to see it at least 10 to 20 times before I even consider giving it a shot, this was no exception. I kept seeing people posting, "Ask your kid these questions and post the answers for everyone to read". Honestly I really enjoyed some of the creative and adorable answers to I decided to try it myself with Caden.

Sometimes I wish we never grew up, I wish we stayed as innocent, loving and fair as we were in 1st grade. These kids in a Minnesota Elementary are learning about empathy and as usual they really wind up teaching us all something all too often forget as adults. And as usual they get me all choked up.

Kids today are feel so entitled, kids today are so greedy, kids today don't appreciate their parents these are thing we hear everyday and unfortunately in many cases it's true. What we all have to remember is that it is not always true and the world is full of wonderful kids who are selfless and bright and loving, if you need a reminder of that as we all sometimes do you will love this video. I think being one of Santa's helpers must be one of the hardest jobs in the world. I mean these guys have to dress up like Santa and take all of the toy requests from boys and girls all over the world and get the lists back to Santa without forgetting anything. Madelyn and Turner could teach a class on stalling before bed!  Every night I dread bedtime!  I didn't used to when they were sweet and snuggly and we read books and cuddled!  But it's not like that right now!  They are in primetime bedtime stalling mode...

When you think about really cool things that kids get to do that adults don't, Trick or Treating will definitely make your list!  I mean I totally wish I could still go around and ring doorbells and collect candy, but it's kind of not a thing that adults can do...

I'm not even kidding when I say that my stomach hurts from laughing so hard. When was the last time you had a side-splitting laugh? A laugh that made tears run down your face?

You have a million things to do before kids start ringing your bell looking for candy. It’s easy to get impatient with little ones who take a long time picking out a piece of candy or if they don’t say thank you. But what you might not know is that little kid standing at your door without a costume could be autistic.
