When I manage to get a free day every once in a blue moon I like to get out and play some golf. I don't just like to play the same course every time, and try to play new courses around the Capital Region and the Queensbury area.

Father's Day is fast approaching and you still haven't thought of the perfect gift. Well you are in luck my friends because if your dad is a golfer, a country music fan, or a guy that loves to have fun, I have your answer. Every year on the day after Father's Day  (no coincidence) we hold a golf tournament at the beautiful Stadium Golf Club in Schenectady.

No matter how bad your golf game is it's important to have fun. Just ask Kevin Na he's a "PRO". I know I have taken AT LEAST 16 strokes on some holes but in my defense I am normally drunk and far from a pro. You have to cringe and feel bad for this guy. Don't forget the officials gave him a 15 he went back and watched the tape. Gave HIMSELF a 16.

You know the common complaint about watching golf on TV.  It's worse than watching paint dry.  Even the Masters, as exciting as it was,  I grew a full beard waiting for it to end.  Well, take heart, impatient TV watchers.  Welcome to Power Play golf...

I remember there was a time when I would rather stick a fork in my eye than watch golf.  It was just really hard to get.  I'd sit down for a few minutes, watch grown men hit a tiny ball, walk, hit a tiny ball, walk then putt it in a hole.

Today on the air we got the call we wait so anxiously for all winter long.  Greg, owner operator of Stadium Golf Course in Schenectady called to tell us they are open.
