A Man Withheld A Child’s Prescribed Medication

A 34-year-old Stillwater man was allegedly keeping a small child’s prescribed Ritalin for himself, which lead to the child needing emergency medical attention.

It was discovered that the child had symptoms that it wasn’t getting the needed medication. This started an investigation.

In a story that I saw on CBS 6 Albany, Joshua Coons allegedly did this over a period of time.  He was arrested by Stillwater Police and was sent to the Saratoga County Jail. Coons has been ordered to stay away from the child, and has been charged with endangering the welfare of a physically disabled person.

The child is reported to be recovering.
