You Love to See It!

This is the kind of grandfather and grandson-relationship that any young boy could dream of, and you love to see it.

After much of the Capital Region got pelted with a sizable snowstorm on the first weekend of Spring, most were forced to dig themselves out, and some were left without power but most everyone found something to complain about as a different type of March "madness" hit the area.

Making the Most of a Spring Storm

Others, like this grandfather and grandson duo from Saratoga County, embraced the whiteout by doing what they do best, spending quality time together while building incredible snowmen -  that aren't even men, they're masterpieces.

Check out these pictures sent to WNYT NewsChannel 13 and posted to their Facebook page on Monday.

In them, you'll see the work done by 8-year-old Weston, who along with the help of his proud grandfather, built a massive snow gator on their property in Greenfield Center, which is about 5 miles north of Saratoga Springs in Saratoga County.

As you can imagine, there were hundreds of shares, and a ton of comments praising the young man and his grandfather for their work.

They made another snow creation after a storm hit the Capital Region in 2023.

Upstate NY & Capital Region Snowfall Totals March 23, 2024

After a fairly quiet winter, the first weekend of spring 2024 brought some big snowfall totals to Upstate New York and the Capital Region! Here are snowfall totals for Saturday, March 23, 2024 from around the area from local spotters via the National Weather Service.

Albany's Top 10 Snowiest Winters Of All Time [RANKED]

How much snow would it actually take to make it an all-time winter when it comes to big snowfall total for the season? In the average winter, the National Weather Service (NWS) says we get 59.2 inches of snow in Albany. Here is the top 10 list of the snowiest Albany winters on record.

New York State's 10 Drunkest Counties

According to County Health Rankings and Roadmaps, these are the 10 New York counties with the highest rates of excessive alcohol consumption among adults. The CDC says exessive drinking includes binge drinking which is "...defined as consuming 4 or more drinks on an occasion for a woman or 5 or more drinks on an occasion for a man.." and heavy drinking which " ...for women...is 8 drinks or more per week/For men, heavy drinking is 15 drinks or more per week."
