The pandemic shuttered one of the movie theaters in Saratoga County. They hoped to reopen but the company closed it for good. Now, with new owners, Scene One Wilton Mall Cinemas opens today and they are offering a great deal.

What Is The History of This Theater At Wilton Mall?

Hoyts Cinemas opened inside Wilton Mall in 1993. It was taken over by Regal Cinemas in March of 2003. In February 2013, Regal moved out and it was completely gutted. Then in October 2013, Bow Tie Cinemas opened. It was operating until forcing to close in 2020 because of the pandemic. In 2021, they announced it would be permanently closed.

Scene One Entertainment (formerly Bow Tie Cinemas) has taken over the theater. It is now Scene One Wilton Mall Cinemas.

What Is Planned For The Grand Opening?

The grand opening is today, March 13th with a celebration. All movie tickets today (March 13th) will be three dollars and the proceeds will benefit the Wilton Food Pantry. There is also a place where they will collect non-perishable food items.

For the grand opening, Wilton Mall Cinemas will be showing classic movies and those that aren't offered in the theaters anymore according to News 10ABC. They include:
Jurassic Park (1993): 4:50 p.m. and 7:50 p.m.
Singin’ in the Rain (1952): 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The Wizard of Oz (1939): 4:40 p.m. and 7:10 p.m.
A League of Their Own (1992): 3:40 p.m. and 7:20 p.m.
Recent Movies Not In Theaters Anymore:
Barbie (2023): 5:10 p.m. and 7:40 p.m.
Oppenheimer (2023): 3:20 p.m. and 6:50 p.m.
Elvis (2022): 3:30 p.m. and 6:40 p.m.
The Lego Movie (2014): 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
