Look for a popular wing joint to expand into another city in the Capital Region

A full-service restaurant with outdoor seating is being proposed near the Lowe's in Wilton, and while it’s still early in the planning process, the project is moving toward its first round of approvals this September.

The plan is for a six thousand square foot Buffalo Wild Wings with a nine hundred square foot patio. There will be room for one hundred twenty-eight parking spaces. The company behind it is Banta Management, which runs several locations for the Buffalo Wild Wings chain known for wings, beer, and plenty of TVs.

According to the Albany Business Review, George Banta Jr., who leads the group, said the brand has done well in places like the Hudson Valley and that they’re excited about bringing it to the Saratoga area. With events like the summer racing season and concerts at SPAC, he believes it’s the right kind of market for this kind of spot.

Banta also mentioned they’ve signed a two-location deal and are now searching for another site. They are looking at  Wolf Road or a spot in Latham. He said there’s room for more than one in the area.

The land is owned by Maly Commercial Realty, which shared a teaser about the project on social media at the end of June. Right next door, Maly is also working on plans for a new Mavis Tire center, which is being reviewed by the planning board as well.
