Beer is on everybody's mind around here at the radio ranch right now, with the Electric City on Tap event right around the corner and all.  Oh - you haven't heard about that?

It's happening at the Schenectady Armory on Saturday from 1-4PM.  You will be INUNDATED with brewskis of every color and variety.  They'll be over 150 varieties at your disposal.  If you'd like more info, click right here.

I don't know if there are 150 beer drinkin' songs, but if there are, they HAVE to be country songs, right?  Here are some of my personal faves (to get you in the mood), and then I'll ask for yours.

1. Red Solo Cup -Toby Keith  Gotta have this one.  Toby Keith never even intended this to be a hit, but honestly, Toby, how could it not be?   Click, sip and sing along (but be careful not to get any on your laptop)

2. Pretty Good At Drinkin' Beer - Billy Currington.  Pretty self-explanatory.  Poor guy- not too proficient at much, but very skilled at tippin' em back.

Beer For My Horses - Willie Nelson and Toby Keith - Yea, I am a big Toby fan, but I also love me some Willie.  Both of them write clever stuff, and when they combined forces on this one, it was especially great.  (Please don't try this at home, by the way - feeding beer to your horses, that is)

Boys Round Here -Blake Shelton     Even if I hated this song, I'd still include it.  Blake's had a tough year.  Just so happens that I do think it's a great tune - so crack an ice cold one (like it says in the song) and take a listen

Pop A Top - Alan Jackson - This is great because the directions are right in the title.  You don't have to be a deep thinker to understand the hidden meaning (like Beer For My Horses).

Ok -that's my top 5.  What's yours? Leave your vote in the comment section.  Would love to know.  In the meantime, see you down in the Electric City!
