With the cold spell we have been having, there has been a lot of talk how it is illegal in New York to leave your car running with the keys in it. Well, it turns out it is also unnecessary.

Your parents probably did it when you were a kid, and now every winter morning when it is freezing out, your run out side 10 or 15 minutes to start the car and leave it running to warm it up. Well, unless your car is really old you really don't need that warm up time and it could actually do you engine harm. Here is why:
