Wanna Live Next to Crossgates Mall? New Apartments Planned

There was a proposal for an apartment complex more than three years ago on a piece of land next to Crossgates Mall. Lawsuits delayed the project, but now it has the green light.

Where is this Apartment Complex Going to be Built?

The land is next to Crossgates mall on the west side and contains nearly twenty acres. The sits at the southwest intersection of Gipp and Rapp roads.

What Are the Plans for the Apartments?

The plan is to build the two hundred twenty-two apartment complex adjacent to Crossgates Mall. It will be called The Apex at Crossgates. Having already gotten approval from the town, there will be apartments, a clubhouse with a fitness center, a sports lounge, a yoga studio, an outdoor swimming pool with a deck, a fire pit, an outdoor grill area, and courts to play bocce and pickleball. They have also included in the plans a bike room, a wi-fi cafe bar for apartment residents, a work and study area, and a place for Amazon deliveries according to the Albany Business Review.

Pete Angus who is the Vice President of sales and marketing for the United Group said:

There's a huge need for new class A apartments in the area.

Construction for the new apartment complex next to Crossgates Mall in Guilderland should break ground and begin this fall. No word on the sizes or rental prices of these new apartments.
