Police and corrections officers in Vermont have asked for your help as they try to track down a convicted murderer who has 'disappeared' after recently being released from prison.

William Wheelock, 55, was last seen on Wednesday in Bellows Falls, Vermont which is located about 2 hours northeast of Albany. According to reports, Whitlock may have ties to the Pittsfield, Mass area and are warning people not to approach him.

According to sources, Wheelock was released from prison back in January and was being monitored electronically while on furlough. State police in Vermont say that he cut off his electronic device and has since 'disappeared', last seen on Wednesday afternoon in Bellows Falls.  Sate police believe he was last seen getting into a dark SUV believed to be a Nissan Rogue.

Wheelock, convicted of of second-degree murder back in 1987, stands at 6'2" weighing approximately 215 lbs.  He's described as having thinning grey hair, blue eyes, and has a tattoo of "666" on his left eyelid.
