Experience the Magic of the Season at Troy’s 43rd Annual Victorian Stroll
It’s almost time for one of Troy’s most charming holiday traditions to return. The Victorian Stroll is coming back for its 43rd year, bringing a little old-fashioned magic to the heart of downtown.
Starting at 11 am on December 7th, the streets of Troy will be transformed into a scene straight out of the 1800s. Picture cobblestone charm, festive music, and people dressed in elegant Victorian clothing as the city comes alive with holiday cheer. You don’t have to dress up, but it’s a lot of fun if you do.
Throughout the day, the city will be buzzing with entertainment and activities. In past years, visitors have enjoyed Christmas carolers harmonizing on street corners, clog dancers tapping away, and a maker’s market filled with unique handmade gifts. Restaurants and shops get in on the fun too, offering warm treats and holiday specials to keep you fueled while you explore.
Downtown businesses also compete in a friendly window decorating contest, turning storefronts into holiday art displays. Last year’s theme was “Favorite Christmas Movie,” and places like The Dutch Udder Ice Cream, Butterfly Plant Studio, and McAddy’s Pub brought serious festive flair. This year’s theme is "Favorite Holiday Song".
The Troy Victorian Stroll runs from 11 am to 5 pm on December 7th, and the holiday spirit kicks off early with the tree lighting on December 3rd at 5:30 pm in downtown Troy. It’s the perfect way to step into the season.
