Baseball and fans aren't the only things returning to the Joe this summer!

It feels like every day we are getting another sign that summer in Upstate New York Could end up being, dare I say, pretty close to normal. After 12 months of things not happening, each day we start hearing about more things happening in the months ahead. That includes Tri-Ciry ValleyCats Baseball and yes FIREWORKS at the Joe!

The ValleyCats announced their schedule for their first season as a member of the Frontier League last month, and now have added which home games will feature fireworks! Thirteen of the teams home games will feature post-game fireworks displays including on the following dates:

  • Friday, June 4th (Home Opener),
  • Sunday, July 4th
  • Thursday, September 9th (Last home game of the season)

As we head into Spring the ValleyCats have already been making news with the new league affiliation, as well as with the announcement former Major Leaguer Pete Incaviglia would be taking over as Manager. Now that we have the schedule and fireworks nights back, the only left that will make the season complete are all the fun theme nights we have come to know and love at the Joe. I am pretty sure I know some baseball fans in the Capital Region who would also be game for a Country night at the ballpark.

The ValleyCats season will open Thursday, May 27th on the road in Canada. You can see the full schedule of games, including the thirteen that will feature fireworks, here.
