A child in Upstate New York was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death.

The New York State Police issued an Amber Alert on Monday evening when they learned that a teenage boy went missing in Upstate New York.

James Fernandez Reyes, just 13-years-old, is believed to be traveling against his will with possibly 4-5 black males wearing masks.  The men are accused of forcing Reyes into their gold mid-sized SUV on Monday afternoon in the Rochester area of Upstate New York.  They say it occurred on Myrtle Street, at about 4:30 PM on Monday.

According to State Police, James S. Fernandez Reyes is a Hispanic male, approximately 14-years-old with brown hair and brown eyes. Police say he is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. Reyes, according to the NYSP was last seen wearing a Black jacket, blue pants, white Nike Air Force One sneakers.

State Police warn that if you see the vehicle that fits the profile or a person that you believe may be connected to the abduction, do not approach.  Anytime State Police issue an Amber Alert, they do so under the assumption that that the abductor(s)  is potentially dangerous and in this case, they do believe that the 13-year-old is in "imminent danger."

Anyone with any information on this abduction is asked to call the Rochester Police Department at (585)428-1107 or dial 911 to provide information on a report or sighting.
