March in Upstate New York is a weather roller coaster and the ride continues with snow expected this Friday.

As many of us get ready to enjoy highs near 70 degrees in Upstate New York today (Wednesday, March 19th) and the 60s on Thursday (the first official day of Spring!), we must also be ready for the other shoe to drop!

According to the New Channel 13 First Warning Forecast, our milder weather will take a turn Friday as temperatures make a "sharp drop" and bring with it - you guessed it - some accumulating snow!

Current snowfall estimates from the National Weather Service (NWS) show a little snow gathering in areas around the Hudson River Valley in Upstate New York.

Most areas can expect an inch or less of snow, with higher elevations in the Adirondacks and Catskills expected to get up to 2 inches. This is by no means an earth-shattering snowfall, but maybe just enough to annoy us as we all shift to a Spring state of mind!
