Upstate New York Woman Wins $5,000 A Week For Life on NY Lottery Scratch-Off

An Upstate New Yorker is cashing in big. A $ 5,000-a-week Set For Life New York Lottery scratch-off ticket was sold at a gas station convenience store in the North Country.

The ten-dollar New York Lottery scratch-off ticket has many ways to win a lot of money. But if you scratch off to reveal just one "life" symbol, you win the top prize. $5,000 a week for life.

According to the New York Lottery, the winner is Jami Devins of Saranac. She bought the winning ticket at the Parkway Express Valero gas station located at 3385 State Route 11 in Malone. She revealed the LIFE symbol and cashed in for $5000 a week for life.

The top prize guarantees a minimum payout of $5 million.

Devins opted to take the cash value of the annuity prize and received a one-time payment of $2,294,124, after required withholdings.

In February of 2025, another Upstate New York woman won a major scratch-off jackpot. Jessica Koonce of Clifton Park walked into the Stewart's Shop at 246 South Street in Mechanicville. She revealed a life symbol and cashed in $10,000 a week for life. She chose to collect $338,520 a year for life.
